Benjamin is a scientist, entrepreneur, investor and merchant banker. Most recently Benjamin served as the CEO of ImaginAb, Inc. a ventured backed company developing a cutting-edge platform to address an urgent unmet need in immuno-oncology. Immediately before that, he was the Chairman and CEO of London based Immune Targeting Systems, Inc. leading the immune therapy company through significant strategic growth, innovative product development and establishing a presence in France and North America. Prior to returning to operational roles, he spent nine years as a Managing Director at Burrill & Company, a global life sciences venture firm where he evaluated investment opportunities and assisted a global clientele in completing licensing, partnering and M&A transactions. He also played a key role in establishing the Malaysian Life Sciences Fund I and served as a director. Earlier in his career as an R&D executive, he has experience in building talented research team in immunology, stem cell biology, genomics, gene therapy and molecular diagnostics in both biotechnology start-ups and multinational pharmaceutical companies including Roche Diagnostics and Novartis.
Ben received his academic training in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Stanford University. Benjamin resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Xi Fang is a Founding Partner of Button, an investment firm focusing on Health Care. Dr. Fang has been serving the International Collaboration Committee as a co-chair since 2022.

Wenjia obtained her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Zhejiang University in 2014. She then went to the University of Utah and studied natural product enzymes and biochemistry, and published 11 publications on high impact journals. She received her Ph.D. degree in Medicinal Chemistry in 2021, and joined Zymergen Inc as a research scientist, working on synthetic biology and biochemistry.

Dr. Guanghui Han currently is the Senior Director of Mass Spectrometry Center in San Jose at BGI Americas Corporation. Dr. Han received his post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Dr. Gerald Hart’s group. His research was focused on understanding the role of O-GlcNAcylation in disease, a modification discovered in the Hart lab, and specifically worked on methods for enrichment and detection of the modification in kinases and their roles in the crosstalk between glycosylation and phosphorylation. In 2014, Dr. Han joined Genentech Inc, where his role as a scientific manager was to develop and apply MS based technologies for characterization of therapeutic molecules. In 2018, Dr. Han helped found the Mass Spectrometry Center in San Jose at BGI Americas Corporation to provide high quality Mass Spec service for customers with a special focus on the Mass Spec assays (including but not limited to Biologics Characterization, Quantitative Proteomics and Metabolomics) to accelerate drug R&D with by using state-of-the-art Mass Spectrometers. Dr. Guanghui Han has published more than 40 papers in a variety of international journals, including Nature, Molecular cell, Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, Analytical Chemistry, mAbs, with over 3000 citations.

Dr. Liang He is a postdoc at UCSF. Liang received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Biophysics, University of Chinese Academy of Science, and doing his postdoctoral training at the Department of Cellular Molecular Pharmacology, UCSF. He has over 10 years of virology study experience focusing on virus and host interaction, aiming to inhibit emerging virus replication. Liang utilizes molecular biochemistry, immunology, and cell biology method to study how the host factors inhibit the virus lifecycle. Now he is developing new methods/systems to better study virology at UCSF, using biosensors/reporters, and animal models of diseases. In his spare time, He likes running, hiking, playing basketball, and biking.

Dr. Ella Li is the founder of M7 Healthcare Accelerator, providing 3-months-acceleration services to healthcare startups for each cohort. She is also a venture partner of Network VC, focusing on seed to series A investment in the healthcare sector. She also serves the role as the CEO of Hanhai BioLabs, leading the team in life science investment and globalization to transform healthcare. Dr. Li is the former CEO of ZGC Capital and the partner of its U.S. funds. She has established and managed several VC and fund of funds; including one with portfolio funds including KPCB, Menlo, Andreessen Horowitz, Accel, Foundation Capital, and IVP.

Dr. Li has over 15 years of experience in biotech research and has rich experiences in therapeutic investment opportunities from discovery and clinical proof-of-concept to commercialization. She also serves as a board advisor, consultant, and advisor for several global accelerators, VCs and startups. Dr. Ella Li earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peking University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Centers. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship from Harvard Medical School, where she led five independent projects exploring novel therapeutic targets for metabolic disease. Dr. Li has extensive publications in over 10 prestigious journals with IMF some of which include Nature Communication, Cell Metabolism, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Molecular Cell, and Diabetes with 900 citations.

Education background:
I Acquired a Ph.D in basic medicine in Peking Union Medical College in 2015. However, the major of my bachelor and master was pharmacology. Therefore, I am good at deal with the transdisciplinary project or task.
Career pathway:
I worked as product manager in Novogene China from 2015-2018 and transferred to be a director of operation and managements in Novogene US from 2018.
So far, I worked in PRC and AMC in CABS since Sep in 2022.

In recent years, Danielle was the Vice President of Human Resources at Vcredit Group and helped the company successfully get listed in the Hong Kong Stock Market. She was also the former Director of Human Resources in Asia at Home Depot and the Human Resources Director at Deutsche Bank China. Furthermore, she served in Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies like Eli Lilly and Merck, taking on various leadership roles in Human Resources.

Born and raised in China, Danielle graduated from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and holds a master's degree in business administration. She speaks fluent Chinese and English. The mother of three children, she is passionate about family, friends, and travel. Danielle also does volunteer work helping newly graduated college students with their career development.

Lu currently works at WuXi AppTec as Senior Director of Business Development. Prior to that, she worked in a few biotech startups in Bay Area. Dr. Huijun Zhou received her PhD in molecular biology and genetics from Cornell University and completed her post-doctoral medical genetics training at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is a clinical molecular geneticist and board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics.

Dr Zhou is an experienced biotech entrepreneur and executive. Previously she worked at Incyte Pharmaceuticals and DNA Direct in Silicon Valley. She has cofounded and advised several biotech startups in Silicon Valley and mentored many first-time entrepreneurs.

Currently, Dr Zhou is an adjunct Professor at Department of Medicine, Stanford University. She teaches courses and mentors Stanford Graduate School of Business students and Knight-Hennessy Scholars. She also conducts research on precision medicine.

Jack Zhu is currently senior director of business development at Porton Advanced Solutions, a cell and gene CDMO company. Before this, Jack worked for several other CDMO companies such as WuXi AppTec and Analytical Biosciences in commercial roles including business development and commercial operations. Jack has a solid understanding of how the biopharma, especially cell and gene focus companies operate commercially. Jack has a master engineering degree and a MBA.
